PERMIT US TO INTRODUCE OURSELVES!Our congregation, Immanuel Lutheran, is affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, a voluntary association of some 6,000 churches in the United States and partner churches throughout the world. Our beliefs and teachings are summarized by the following three statements:
We believe in Jesus Christ, true God and true man, who came to seek and save the lost and give his life as a ransom for many. We believe that all have sinned, and the only hope for humanity is Jesus, "for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12 TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORSHIPWe worship the True God every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Special weekday services are held in celebration of Lent, Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas.
VARIED OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHRISTIAN EDUCATIONSunday School is conducted Sunday mornings at 9:15 during the school year. We are happy to welcome all children ages three and up. Vacation Bible School is offered during a school break and is open to children ages three to eleven. Adult Bible Classes meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 and Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Special short-term classes and workshops dealing with a variety of practical life issues such as grief, emotions, parenting and active Christian love are also held periodically. Confirmation Classes for 7th and 8th graders are held weekly during the school year. Our children are required to attend these classes for two years in preparation for communicant membership in the church. Adult Instruction is also available for adults who are interested in membership or individuals who desire a refresher course in Christian doctrine. The pastor leads these informal discussion periods.
COME AND FIND OPPORTUNITIES FOR FELLOWSHIP AND SERVICEImmanuel offers opportunity for fellowship and service in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, choir, youth league, altar guild, community service projects and social events. Should you be troubled, burdened or perplexed and desire spiritual counsel, you are invited to use the services of our pastor, Richard von Steinman. Feel free to call him with any questions or concerns you may have.
